Popote
Ian Thomson's furniture finishing 'Popote' is a easy to use polish, used to bring up a dull french polished piece of furniture.
Follow the instructions below, remembering less is more in all situations! Disposal of cloth is also extremely important. Cloths
can spontaneously combust, due to the mix on cloth & the reaction to the air. Leave cloths hanging out side in the fresh air
(cloths line) then dispose in rubbish bin 48hrs later. Storage of bottle is important: keep in a locked cabinet away from chilren & young adults.
Use ONLY in a well ventilated area.
READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
Shake Well Between EACH application
USE IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA
On surfaces that are not used regularly an application of once is plenty. A Dining Table in regular use may be
polished every 8 weeks or so. Remember its NOT how much you use but how much you don't use. If you are unsure
its best to leave the finish alone. Suitable for use on French Polish, Lacquer, Varnish.
Keep WELL AWAY from Fabric on chairs, remove all fabric 1st & only replace after 24hrs settling period is over.
POPOTE can soften some finishes. Work in small sections at a time. EG: one square foot(30cm sq) at a time. Be careful
NOT to work the area for than 10 seconds. Polish in a circular motion then straighten out in the direction of the grain,
leave the surface clear to set for 24 hours.
White Ghosting Removal : This may take more time. Work the affected area for no longer than 30 seconds.
If the white ghosting has not totally gone in this time, then attempt again in 24hours time.
Cabinet Life : The cap must be kept secure when not in use. When the bottle is left to stand,
the mix will separate. So, keeping the lid on tight & well shaken during use, is Extremely Important
POPOTEcontains linseed oil. Cloths containing linseed are susceptiable to 'SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION"
It is Extremely Important after use to place cloths & gloves outside in fresh air to dry for 48hrs.
THEN cloths can be disposed of in the usual manner.
FLAMMABLE contains Hydrocarbon.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN & YOUNG ADULTS while in Use & in Storage, LOCKED CABINET IS RECOMMENDED.
Protect eyes by wearing protective eyewear. Light rubber gloves or cotton gloves for hands.
